Their first priority was to work with certification agencies to help American Indian business owners obtain their minority business enterprise (MBE) certification status.
Obtaining MBE certification would make it possible for their members to secure contracts from public agencies and major corporations under MBE programs. As a result of their efforts, the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Texas (AICCT) was incorporated in 1988.
American Indian owned businesses in many different industries are members of the AICCT. These business owners are experts in their fields. Some of the industries represented by AICCT members include:
|Advertising||Industrial Cleaning & Supplies|
|Architects||Janitorial Services & Supplies|
|The above list is not all-inclusive. The AICCT members include businesses offering many different products and services that are purchased by many industries. Our membership directory is varied, and we boast having businesses in many different industrial settings.|
